This release of BoardMaker3 expands our already comprehensive feature set even further.

• BoardMaker3 now has support for polar (radial) grids.
  

• The 3D Viewer now supports non rectangular boards, this allows arced sections to be included in the 3d view. Bitmaps may now also be exported directly from the viewer.

• The trace length function allows the distance from any node on a net to be calculated to all other nodes on the net, this is very useful when matching trace lengths is important.
  

• A new wiring keepout object has been added, this further expands the DRC and autorouter interface to allow sections of PCB to be marked so that routing is not permitted in that area.
  

• The printing engine for schematics now includes the option to print using vectors. This provides a much faster printout and much better scalability when producing PDF documents.
  

• The bitmap import function allows bitmaps such as company logos or conformance labels to be used on silkscreen layers, the bitmap appears in the gerber exactly as it appears on screen.
  

• The auto-annotation mechanism is now available when copying symbols or pages. Any copied symbol will automatically annotate with the package information from the original part. When blocks of symbols are copied, gate information is also retained in the order of the original block.
  

• The autorouter interface has now been expanded to allow sections of pre-routed tracking to be exported into the autorouter. This allows critical tracks to be manually routed by hand and retained through interations of the autorouting process.
  

• Datasheets can now be launched by a single keystroke when hovering the mouse over a symbol. A special attribute allows the system to find and then launch the correct datasheet for a given part.
  

• The Bill of Materials outputs is now handled through scripts, no external excel macros are required. This also allows the user to configure the output in their own format if required. The software ships with scripts that replicate the original functionality of the excel macros.
